April/May Events 2012

Hey Pandas, as you probably have noticed the April events a few days ago, the May events are out! Again, just like the new clothing catalog, there isn't much new events... here are screenshots of April and May.

New Clothing + Pot of Gold!

Finally, Pandanda has updated the clothing for Spring! Or ... only St. Patrick's Day. Though there are only around two pages.

My membership expired yesterday, so I had to sell a few things, the limit amount of clothes for non-members is 200. For elite-members it's 500. Which is weird since, last month before I renewed my membership, I had around 300, and it still allowed me to buy more clothes.

I love the new clothing, very green ;) my favorite color is green. One more thing, you can get a Pot of Gold for your tree house for 490. It's a great addition to your tree to make it more "leprechaun-ish".

Hat Day on Pandanda!

While Zing will be arriving on Monday with cool new prizes, it' also going to be hat day! There are all kinds of hats you can wear.. I have a feeling that the new Zing prize will be a hat. I wonder what the theme will be? Probably Easter or Spring. Henry has put up a new poll, How many Pandanda hats do you have? I counted mine, I have 41 hats and 65 head items. Take a look at the post below:

Hey Pandas!

Today's the day to prepare for Zing Ballyhoo's arrival on Monday by wearing your favorite hat! There have been lots of cool and crazy hats, and other stuff to wear on your head, given out as prizes and gifts in the years that Pandanda has been open. And even more hats have been available in the many different clothing catalogs that have been published.

So let's see every furry panda head covered with some kind of fabulous hat today. You might even want to see how many different hats you can wear while you play today. And if you wear a hat with a certain "character", why not try out your acting skills and become that character! Pirate, Roman soldier, jester, Uncle Sam, princess, knight, wizard, Santa Claus - there are so many possibilities!

You can even vote in the new poll to let us know how many hats you have in your Pandanda closet! The poll is only open for 24 hours, so get your vote in! 

Just a reminder, the deadline for submitting your Spring Theme Player Card Background drawings is getting closer, but you still have until 11:59pm PST on Wednesday, March 14th to send your drawing in to us. You can read more about it in my Spring Theme Player Card Drawing Contest! post on March 1st,  and in the Contest Update post on March 5th. Remember, you can include a suggestion for a simple animation for your background.

Hi Panda Pals!

I received an interesting letter in the mail today. There was no name or return address, and all the message said was "See you on Monday!" It was written on the back of this:

LOL, well, of course, we all know which of our Pandanda citizens that Golden Ticket belongs to - the amazing Zing Ballyhoo! Zing will be setting up his gold and blue tent in Pandanda for a short visit starting Monday, March 12th. He will scatter Golden Tickets all over Pandanda for you to collect and trade to him for his always unique prizes!

Zing's gold top hat is one of his most unmistakable features. To help us get into the spirit for Zing's return, let's have a cool Hat Day this Friday! Start looking through your closet to find your favorite hat. Can't pick just one favorite? That's ok! Wear them all (one at a time, of course!)

Spring Theme Player Card Drawing Contest!

Hi my panda friends! Its Pandy here....I havent been postin much because I have tests i have to study for in school but right now im going to clear that list and only put "POSTING IN PANDANDA COOLNESS" on it. Anyway there is a cool new contest in pandanda,its a spring theme player card drawing contest! You create one yourself and if its good,you send it to Henry and you could win many awesome prizes so cross your fingers! :)

Happy March, Panda Pals!

Let's get this month off to a great start with the first contest of 2012 - a Spring Theme Player Card Drawing Contest!

This goal of this contest is to design and submit a drawing of a player card background using the template of a player card provided. We recommend you use this template, since it shows the placement of where the Panda image appears on top of the Player Card and how it will cover the design.

The theme of your background should be Springtime. If you like, you can suggest a simple animation for your background (for example, the falling snow on the village scene in last year's Winter Festival background.)

For hand-drawn entries, we suggest that you first print a copy of the template, and then create your drawing on that. Hand-drawn images will need to be scanned into your computer or turned into a digital picture using a digital camera so they can be emailed to us. If you use a camera to take a picture of your drawing, make sure it is well-lit and in focus. We want to be able to see your drawing at its best!

All entries must be emailed to us in the format of a digital image (in one of the following formats: jpg, gif, tiff, bmp, pdf, png). Entries that are not in one of those formats will be disqualified.

There is a limit of one entry per email address (the one you used when you created your panda) per day. Entries must be received at contest@pandanda.com no later than 11:59pm PST on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, March 21st in my Blog.

Prizes:
One Grand Prize will be awarded by our panel of judges.

The Grand Prize winner will have their design turned into an actual player card background by our graphic artists to be used in the game, and will also receive:
1. a 6-month Elite Membership Gift Certificate
2. 5000 Panda Power
3. 200 Panda Gold The really cool part is that the winning design will feature the winning

Panda's name on the card - which could even make your Panda pretty famous - who knows? The winner's new Player Card Background will be available during the Easter Egg Hunt Festival that begins on March 30th.

To submit your entry (have your parent or guardian help you):

1.Read and obey the rules. Entering the competition means that you and your parent/guardian agree to the rules. A complete list of the rules can be found here. If you are under 13 years old, please ask your parent or guardian to review them with you, along with our website Terms of Use, specifically with regard to the use of submissions you send to us.
2.Ask your parent or guardian to email your entry to contest@pandanda.com from their email address, the one they used when they signed you up for Pandanda. Your entry MUST come from the email address that we have on file for your Pandanda account.You can see what that email address is by logging into your Account Management page.
3.Type the words "Player Card Drawing Contest" in the subject line of the email.
4.Type your Panda name in the text of the email for example "Panda Name: Paige."
5.Do NOT include your real name, house address, phone number, or password.
6.Email your entry for Pandanda to receive it no later than Wednesday, March 14th at 11:59pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST). You may only send in one entry per Pandanda account per day.

I can't wait to see your entries. I know there are some very creative pandas out there in Pandanda Land!

First Free Elite Member Day of 2012 this Saturday!

It's Free Elite Member Day this Saturday! Every non-member who logs on that day will have full access to member clothes, furniture and even a dragon! Better start collecting because you'll need money to buy all that stuff. I'm still short.

While you are collecting Friendship bracelets for the Friendship Festival, don't forget to also collect fruits, veggies, coconuts, mushrooms, gemstones, and recyclables. Then you can sell them to the vendors around Pandanda for coins. Why do you want coins? So you can shop til you drop during Free Elite Member Day this Saturday!

You can earn coins by fishing, then selling your fish to Fishy Joe. You can also earn coins for every game you play. So you've got plenty of chances to increase your Pandanda bank account before Saturday!

Everyone who logs in on Saturday will have full access to all of Pandanda's Elite Membership features for one day!** You can use your Pandanda coins to buy anything at the Clothing Co. on East Market Street! Decorate your tree house with furniture from the House & Tree catalog, and unlock your tree house to have friends over! You can adopt a pet dragon from the Pet Shop! And you can even buy a Horse Companion from Questy, if you have reached a high enough Quest Level!

This event is for one day only, starting on Saturday at 12:01am PST and ending Saturday at 11:59pm PST so don't miss out!

More Fun this Week!

More fun this week yay. Tomorrow is Mardi Gras Color day! Be sure to dress in purple, green, yellow and gold. On Friday the level 50 and up questers will have a chance to party with Henry on Palm server. Apparently I'm not level 50.. yet I won't be. Neither will Pandy, she's been very busy lately. Also this Saturday will be a Free Elite Membership Day! Non-members will have a chance to buy elite clothing and furniture and even a dragon! Read about it in the post below ;)

I hope you are enjoying the Friendship Festival. You still have a whole week to collect Friendship Bracelets to trade to Lucy for the cool Friendship Festival prizes, so keep on collecting! Make sure to vote in the new poll to let me know your favorite Friendship Festival prize.

We had a great Game Day on Saturday. I really got a kick out of playing Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill with so many of you during my visits. Check out these pictures of the fun!

Are you ready for more fun this week? First is Mardi Gras Color Day tomorrow. Dress in Mardi Gras colors of purple, green, yellow, and gold, and lead your friends in a Mardi Gras parade around Pandanda. Our Brazilian panda friends might know this day better as Carnaval. Whatever you call it, make Tuesday bright and exciting! Mod Jule is already dressed for Mardi Gras fun!

On Friday, the Super Questers who are at Level 50 and above will get their chance to party with me on Palm Server. The first party will be at 10am Pandanda Time and the second party will be at6pm Pandanda Time. You can click on each of those links to see what time the parties will be where you live. Pandas who live in Australia, New Zealand, and other countries around that part of the world will probably want to come to the 6pm party, since it will be on Saturday morning and early afternoon.

It's Game Day

I hope you have your bunny nets and ghost-catching backpacks ready, because you are going to need them today! During Game Day you can earn double coins for Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill, and for Pen the Pig and Line4, too!

If you find a Moderator hosting a special game of Bunny Chase or Ghosts of Misty Hill today, you have a chance to win 250 Panda Gold! You can look for Moderators (and me!) to be hosting as many games as we can fit in between the hours of 5am-8am Pandanda Time,  9am-12pm Pandanda Time, 2-3pm Pandanda Time, and  4-8pm Pandanda Time. Games can be on any server, and we will be jumping from server to server to give lots of pandas the chance to win! Remember, you can win ONE time from each Moderator.

I'll be in Pandanda from 5-7am Pandanda Time,  then once more from 7-8pm Pandanda Time. You can click on each link to see what time it will be where you live.

Hey everyone! Level 75 Party is Today!

Level 75 Parties Friday!

Wow! On September 8, 2011, RainbowRacer, Lime12101, and Blowsight10 were the first Pandas to reach Level 75 in Quests. Now, 6 months later, there are 122 Pandas who have reached Level 75, the highest Level!

I am going to celebrate that great accomplishment with two Level 75 parties on Friday! The first party will be at 10am Pandanda Time and the second party will be at 6pm Pandanda Time. You can click on each of those links to see what time the parties will be where you live. Pandas who live in Australia, New Zealand, and other countries around that part of the world will probably want to come to the 6pm party, since it will be on Saturday morning and early afternoon.

The parties will be on Palm server, which has already been Level Restricted to players at Level 75. I can't wait to chat and play games with all of you Super Questers. It's going to be Questerrific!

And don't forget, Saturday is another exciting Game Day, with double coins on all multiplayer games, and chances to win lots of Panda Gold from Moderators on Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill. Lots of fun in Pandanda this weekend!

Friendship Festival :)

It's the Friendship Festival!

It's so cute, so now going to the bracelets part. They look like this.

So you walk over to it and just click it, it's simple.

As you see Lucy is at Fishing Hole now, she's giving the prizes for friendship bracelets. They're not as expensive as last year, but personally I liked last year's better.

In total it costs three hundred friendship bracelets, I'm going to save up.. maybe. My favorite is the springy heart hat, what about you? Take our poll :D

Well there's one more other thing, since it's a special occasion... MORE QUESTS! Go to Jim, he has a quest.

It's pretty simple actually, all you have to do is collect five roses from Darby Field and purchase a box of chocolates from Mr. Elmhurst, then finish the quest by going to Paige.

The Frienship Festival starts on Friday!

I am so excited about the start of Friendship Festival on Friday that I can't get a song out of my head. Maybe you know it: 
 
Make new friends, but keep the old.  
One is silver, and the other, gold.

Friendship Festival will be a time to celebrate with the friends you already have, and to make new friends. There will be delightful decorations, extra Quests, and, of course lots of colorful Friendship Bracelets scattered all over Pandanda for you to collect. When you have enough Friendship Bracelets, you can visit Lucy at the Fishing Hole to trade them for special Friendship Fest prizes.

And don't forget, the Pandanda Forecasters predict we will have another heavy snow just in time for Friendship Festival. So don't pack away your warm clothes just yet!

Henry Posts! New Account Management Features!

New Account Management Features!

Hi, Panda Pals!

I am excited to tell you about some new Account Management features we have added to the Pandanda website. You can follow that link to get there, or go to the Membership page, then click on Manage Account in the menu. You do not have to be an Elite member to use Account Management. This is for everyone!

Once on the Account Management page, you can login with your Panda name and password to access the features. You can check your membership status if you are an Elite member. If you have a recurring monthly Elite membership it will tell you the date your membership will next renew on. You will also see a link to cancel your recurring membership.

If you have a non-renewing Elite membership (for example, a 6 or 12 month Elite, or an Elite bought with a Gift Certificate) it will tell you the date your membership will expire. Since it is not necessary to cancel a non-renewing Elite membership, you will not see a cancellation link.

Also on the Account Management page, you can see the email address that you used when you created your account, the date that you created your account, and the chat mode your account is in, either Safe or Filtered.

You can now change your chat mode yourself! Simply click the link where it says "To change your Chat Mode preference". An email will be sent to the address your account is registered to. That email has a link that you must click to complete the Chat Mode change. If you changed your mind, and don't really want to change your Chat Mode, you can just delete that email, and your Chat Mode will remain the way it was.

If you change your mind after you have already clicked the link in the email, don't worry! You can log back into your Account Management page and change your Chat Mode again!

If you need to contact Customer Support with any questions or comments about your account or about Pandanda, you can click the link where it says "To contact Customer Support".

Sheriff Steele has a bit of important advice he wants to share with you. Take it away, Sheriff!

Sheriff Steele here! Pandanda Citizens, it is very important that you keep your Pandanda password completely private. Remember, when you tell someone your password, you are letting them go on your account and do pretty much anything they want. Is it worth taking the chance of having them sell all of your things, or even getting you banned? Your account is YOUR responsibility. Keep it safe! Sheriff Steele, signing off!

More Snow is Forecast for Pandanda!

Hey there, friends!

Well, the groundhog saw his shadow on Groundhog Day, which means six more weeks of winter. The Pandanda weather forecasters had thought things were warming up in Pandanda, but they now agree with the groundhog's prediction. The new weather forecast is for heavy snow to hit Pandanda again late next week, just in time for the Friendship Festival!

Maggie is so excited for more snow that she is now selling Sled Companions, along with her Horse and Pony Companions. Head over to Farmer Ned's Barn to check them out! The sleds come in 3 color combinations, and will be just the thing for getting around Pandanda after the snowfall.

And here's some great news for those of you who love to shop - you can now buy MORE Vault space! You can buy up to 500 more spaces, for a total of 1000 spaces. The Vault is a great place to store your summer clothes, holiday decorations, or anything else. Putting things in your Vault lets you free up space in your closet and treehouse storage for new clothing or furniture.

I've got some more cool stuff to share with you all, but I will save that for my next post. Talk to you soon!

Henry Posts! Fantastic February!

Fantastic February!

Wow, have you checked out the Pandanda February Calendar? We've got lots of things planned to help make the shortest month of the year one of the most fun months of the year!

Right off the bat, there was an awesome update in the Clothing Catalog. Lots of cool Valentine's-themed clothes and accessories; a hockey uniform, hockey stick, and skates; new player card backgrounds, and more! And you can still buy football stuff for the Big Game on Sunday. Go Team!

Zing will be leaving this Sunday, so make sure you have collected 10 Golden Tickets and traded them to him for his 4th and final prize. Once he leaves, his prizes are gone forever!

We will celebrate the power of friendship during the Friendship Festival, which begins on February 10th. You'll have 18 days to collect friendship bracelets to trade for cool Friendship Fest prizes. And on Valentine's Day, the 14th, we will have a Red and Pink Color Day.

I've got some special parties planned for Super Questers this month! On the 17th, all pandas who have reached Level 75 will be able to party with me on Palm Server. Then on the 24th, everyone at Level 50 and above will get their chance to party! There will be two party times on each of those days, so pandas all over the world should have a chance to participate.

Game Day returns on the 18th, with double coins on multiplayer games, and lots of chances to win Panda Gold from me and the Moderators in Ghosts of Misty Hill and Bunny Chase.

Dress up in purple, green, yellow, and gold for Mardi Gras Color Day on the 21st, then end that week with a super Free Elite Member Day!

The Snows are Melting!

Hey friends!

Well, the Snowmen have marched out of Pandanda and back to their snowy hideaway. And it looks like they've taken a lot of the snow with them!

The snow is starting to melt away, revealing the ground and streets beneath. The Fishing Hole has thawed, and the ice skating rink at Harvest Grove is closed for the season. But it's still pretty chilly around Pandanda, especially with pandas carrying around Zing's new prize. Hope you've got some gloves or mittens - brrrr!!

Can you believe January is almost over? The month went by so fast! February will be here soon, and it's going to be fantastic! It may be the shortest month of the year, but it is going to be PACKED with fun - the Friendship Festival, Game Day, Free Elite Member Day, Valentine's and Mardi Gras Color Days, plus more! More? Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!

The Year of the Dragon!

Kung hei fat choi (which means "Congratulations and wishing you prosperity")! Today is Chinese/Lunar New Year, celebrating the beginning of the Year of the Dragon!

Let's celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dragon today by filling Pandanda with dragons! Take your pet dragon for a walk, fill the skies with dragon Companions, wear your dragon helmet, carry your dragon staff!

I will be taking my pet dragon Phoenix for a walk around 9:00am Pandanda Time today, and wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year. I hope I get a chance to see you!

Oh, don't forget to visit Zing Ballyhoo for his 3rd prize this week. I think he's trying to turn us all into snowmen! If you want to really be a snowman, visit Paige in Bear Hollow to buy a Frosty Potion. Yep, the Frosty Potions are available to everyone during March of the Snowmen, so this is your chance to stock up!

March of the Snowmen is here!

March of the Snowmen

They're here, they're here! The Snowmen have arrived and they are marching everywhere! Keep an eye out for them, because they don't usually watch where they are going, and might march right over you. Luckily, they are pretty soft!

I hope everyone will enjoy discovering all the funny snowmen around Pandanda, and working on the extra Quests. I'm going to be announcing some Quest Levels parties soon, so get those Levels!

Have you gotten Zing Ballyhoo's second prize yet? It looks like Zing has snow on his mind - he must be looking forward to March of the Snowmen on Friday. Pandanda will be visited by Snowmen marching slowly all over the island (well, maybe not at Coconut Beach - they'd melt!) Plus, there will be extra Quests for you to do all 10 days that the Snowmen are marching!

This Wednesday is another Wacky Outfit Day! Go through your Pandanda closet and pick out the craziest, silliest, most miss-matched outfit you can find, then celebrate your wackiness with all your wacky friends! Take a picture of you and your friends doing something wacky (but keep it appropriate!) and send your picture to screenshots@pandanda.com. I'll pick the wackiest to go in my Blog!

Hey Everyone! Henry Announces the Winners on the 13th!

Friday the 13th Winners!

Looks like most of you weren't too worried about Friday the 13th! Out of 263 pandas who have voted in the poll so far, only 52 of you think Friday the 13th is an unlucky day. 118 pandas think it's a lucky day, and 93 of you think it's just a regular day, no luckier or unluckier than any other day.

But I bet if you ask monaika, Andrutzapwp, Frumusika19, Mrsclemo, and Puccacutie19 about Friday the 13th, they would each say LUCKY DAY! That's because those are the 5 players who each won a 1-month Elite Gift Certificate just for logging into Pandanda on Friday the 13th. Congratulations! Each of those pandas should check the email account their panda is registered to for their Gift Certificate link!

Sheriff Steele and I made lots of surprise, and sometimes secret, visits to Pandanda yesterday, and handed out lots of Panda Gold to unsuspecting pandas! You might not have seen us, because we were REALLY sneaky!

To help make this Friday the 13th a very LUCKY day, I am going to award 5 one-month Elite Membership Gift Certificates to 5 random Pandas who log into Pandanda between 12am and 11:59pm Pandanda Time today. Yep, that's all you have to do to have a chance to win - just play Pandanda! I will announce the names of the 5 lucky winners on Saturday.

Friday the 13th membership winners!

Looks like most of you weren't too worried about Friday the 13th! Out of 263 pandas who have voted in the poll so far, only 52 of you think Friday the 13th is an unlucky day. 118 pandas think it's a lucky day, and 93 of you think it's just a regular day, no luckier or unluckier than any other day.

But I bet if you ask monaika, Andrutzapwp, Frumusika19, Mrsclemo, and Puccacutie19 about Friday the 13th, they would each say LUCKY DAY! That's because those are the 5 players who each won a 1-month Elite Gift Certificate just for logging into Pandanda on Friday the 13th. Congratulations! Each of those pandas should check the email account their panda is registered to for their Gift Certificate link!

Sheriff Steele and I made lots of surprise, and sometimes secret, visits to Pandanda yesterday, and handed out lots of Panda Gold to unsuspecting pandas! You might not have seen us, because we were REALLY sneaky!

Zing has a new prize! Collect 10 tickets anywhere in pandanda except in your treehouse,go to your map,treehouse lobby,click on Zing,and get one of the prizes. Either coins or the prize,the prize always changes at 11:59 pm pd time on Monday and you can get the other new prize. :)

Zing Ballyhoo has returned to Pandanda Land at last! He has set up his tent at Treehouse Lobby, and has hidden Golden Tickets all over Pandanda (except in tree houses) for you to find.
